CoinBoxforCash.com is a coin counting and redemption service with a mail-in workflow. We make it easy to send in loose U.S. coins for counting and payout without having to count, roll, or wrap them yourself.
We accept U.S. legal tender coins only. Foreign coins, counterfeit coins, damaged coins, and non-coin items are not accepted.
Yes. You must be 18 years of age or older to use CoinBoxforCash.com.
After you create an account, you can request a CoinBox mailer kit. Once it arrives, package your loose U.S. coins according to the included instructions and the “How to Pack and Ship Your Coins” page, then return your mailer using the provided return process.
Each CoinBox shipment is triple counted using calibrated coin-counting equipment. In the rare event of a discrepancy, the highest count is honored. We also use secure packaging and internal processing procedures designed to support safe handling.
We charge a flat 15.9% service fee. This fee covers mailing, counting, handling, processing, and customer support, and it is deducted from your total coin value before payout.
Once your coins are received, counted, and processed, you may choose from available payout options such as electronic payment, mailed check, direct deposit, e-gift card, or charitable donation. Available payout methods may vary based on current service availability.
Charitable donation may be offered as a payout option when available.
Our liability is limited to the value of the accepted coins we receive and process, as described in our Terms & Conditions. Please review the Terms for full details.
CoinBoxforCash.com provides up to $500 in company shipment protection per shipment, subject to our Terms & Conditions and internal review. This protection is provided by CoinBoxforCash.com. Customers should also keep their USPS tracking information for reference. USPS rules continue to govern mailability and any USPS indemnity that may apply.
Yes. Customers should keep their USPS tracking information after mailing their CoinBoxforCash.com package. Customers may also review mailer and transaction status updates through their CoinBoxforCash.com account when available.
Your payout is based on the face value of the accepted U.S. coins we receive and process. We do not provide collectible, bullion, or numismatic valuations.
We offer multiple payout options, which may include electronic payment, mailed check, direct deposit, e-gift card, or charitable donation. Actual payout options shown in your account at the time of your request are the options currently available.
Payments are typically issued within 3–10 business days after we receive, count, and process your coins. Processing times may vary based on shipment volume, holidays, verification, or incomplete account information.
If we are unable to complete your payout through your selected electronic payment method, we will issue a cashier’s check for your approved payout amount and mail it to the address on file.
There is no strict minimum deposit amount. However, for the best value, we recommend filling your mailer to at least halfway, and ideally around two-thirds full or more, so the shipment is worthwhile relative to service fees and handling. In simple terms: do not send a nearly empty mailer unless you understand the cost tradeoff.
No. Please send U.S. coins only. Foreign currency, tokens, washers, metal scraps, and other non-coin items are not accepted and may be discarded in accordance with company policy.
We reserve the right to reject coins that are counterfeit, excessively damaged, contaminated, or otherwise unacceptable for processing. If that happens, we may notify you and determine the appropriate next step based on the circumstances and our policies.
Disputes are handled in accordance with our Terms & Conditions, including the dispute resolution and arbitration provisions.
Our services are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado and applicable U.S. law, as described in our Terms & Conditions.
